This morning, for some reason, a song started repeating in my brain, to the tune of “The Wheels on the Bus”:The numbers on the scale go up and down, Up and down, Up and down. The numbers on the scale go up and down, Every d@#$ week.
When I saw my doctor last week, she assured me, “You’re doing everything right. Stay the course.” Dr. Oz tells me (when I read his book, it feels like he’s talking directly to me, anyway), “Stop paying attention to the scale. Eat right and move and your weight will adjust.” (I’m paraphrasing here, not quoting). So, I keep paying close attention to what I eat and how much I move. And I check the scale once a week to keep myself honest.
